Crash Alert: Motorcyclist critically injured in crash with DUI driver in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – According to KETV News, a motorcyclist was critically injured after being struck by a DUI driver in Omaha on Wednesday.
Authorities say the crash took place around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Northwest Radial Highway and Hamilton Street on Wednesday afternoon. 45-year-old Gwendolyn Knight was driving a van and attempting to turn east when she did not yield to a motorcyclist traveling northbound and struck the motorcycle.
Knight was found to be driving under the influence and was cited for DUI and failure to yield. The 26-year-old motorcyclist, Jacob Kellerman, sustained serious injuries in the impact and was transported to Nebraska Medical Center for treatment.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
