Crash Alert: Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – According to 1011 Now News, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver of a pickup truck in Omaha on Tuesday morning.
Authorities say the fatal crash took place around 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of 23rd Street and G Street. Residential security cameras later revealed that a male pedestrian was walking down the sidewalk on G Street when he was struck by a white pickup truck near the southwest corner of the 23rd Street intersection.
The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene, traveling eastbound. The pedestrian was killed in the impact and pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
