Crash Alert: 1 killed in 2-vehicle crash in Butler County
BUTLER COUNTY, NE – According to NTV ABC News, one person was killed in an accident in Butler County on Sunday.
Authorities with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office say the 2-vehicle crash took place around 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 15 and Highway 66. One vehicle was heading west on Highway 66 when the driver did not stop at a stop sign before getting onto Highway 15. The other vehicle involved was heading south on Highway 15 at the time, and struck the first vehicle.
The driver of the first vehicle involved was killed in the impact and pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of their vehicle sustained serious injuries and was air-lifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle involved in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at Butler County Health Care Center following the incident.
