Crash Alert: 1 killed in crash in NE Lincoln on Labor Day
LINCOLN, NE – According to KFOR 103.3 News, one person was killed in an accident that took place in Northeast Lincoln on Monday.
Authorities say the crash took place around 4:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, near the Cotner Center Condominium building at the intersection of Cotner Boulevard and Holdrege Street. A vehicle of 5 people was traveling north when they struck a light pole, and then a utility box before coming to a stop next to the condominium building.
All 5 passengers of the vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital following the crash. One person of those 5 sustained critical injuries in the impact and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The other 4 people involved are expected to make a full recovery.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
