Crash Alert: 2 critically injured in crash following shooting in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – According to KETV News, two people were seriously injured in a crash after fleeing from a shooting in Omaha on Wednesday night.
Authorities say the crash took place shortly before 10:00 p.m. on an offf-ramp near North Freeway and Hamilton Street. Two people were found at the scene with gunshot wounds after being involved in a shooting near the intersection of 28th Street and Charles Street prior to the crash. While fleeing the shooter, their vehicle rolled down an embankment and crashed into a tree before coming to a stop on an off-ramp near North Freeway.
The two victims, one male and one female, were taken to Nebraska Medicine for treatment.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
