Crash Alert: 2 injured in crash involving tractor-trailer in Gretna
GRETNA, NE – According to KETV News, two people were injured in a crash involving a tractor-trailer that was carrying rocks in Gretna on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say the accident took place shortly before 4:00 p.m. near the intersection of South 252nd Street and Highway 6. A tractor-trailer carrying rocks was traveling west on Highway 6 when the driver attempted to make a right turn onto South 252nd Street and was rear-ended by a drive in a pickup truck. Both vehicles spun off the roadway before coming to a stop in a ditch.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained extremely critical injuries in the accident and that the driver of the tractor-trailer was found in serious condition. Both drivers were transported to a nearby medical center for treatment.
