Crash Alert: Pedestrian struck, killed by driver in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – According to Sioux City Journal, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver while crossing an intersection in Omaha on Wednesday.
Authorities say the accident took place shortly before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of 24th Street and Oak Street when a 34-year-old man was crossing the intersection from east to west. The pedestrian was not crossing at a marked crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle at the intersection.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Nebraska Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
No other details have been released at this time. An investigation is currently ongoing.
