Crash Alert: Suspect injured in crash following police chase in Lancaster County
LANCASTER COUNTY, NE – According to WOWT, a suspect was hurt in a collision following a police chase that began in Lincoln and ended in a driveway near Mill Rd and 40th St Lancaster County Sunday.
At around 3:35 p.m., a Nebraska State Patrol Trooper was working the scene of a two-vehicle collision on 27th St in Lincoln when Donald Roth, 62, drove off in a Chevrolet S10.
The trooper pursued Roth at speeds over 100 mph into a private driveway and entered a field. The trooper and Roth collided. Roth suffered minor injuries in the collision and rescue crews transported him to an area hospital.
Authorities arrested Roth on multiple charges, including willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, criminal mischief, and leaving the scene of an accident, once he was released from the hospital.
