Crash Alert: Troopers investigate fatal 3-vehicle crash on US 183 near Holdrege
HOLDREGE, NE – According to WOWT, a driver died following a three-vehicle collision on US 183 Tuesday.
Andy Eickhoff, 32, was driving a semi-truck north on US 183 when he rear-ended a Chevy Suburban driven by Peggy Morten, 64. The collision pushed the Suburban into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Chevy Silverado driven by Lawrence Johnson, 50.
Rescue crews transported Johnson and Morten to an area hospital, where Johnson died.
Eickhoff was not hurt in the incident.
The crash is under investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol.
