Crash Alert: 1 dead after alleged impaired driver crashes near S Ridge Rd
DODGE COUNTY, NE – According to WOWT, a male passenger died in a single-vehicle collision on S Ridge Rd on Saturday.
Doltyn Garule, 18, was driving a gray Hyundai SUV when he crashed into a fence on S Ridge Rd at around 5 a.m.
Rescue crews transported Garule’s passenger, Ryan Littrell, 18, to an area hospital, where he died.
Following the crash, Garule allegedly left the scene of the accident. Authorities located Garule and arrested him. They charged Garule with driving under the influence, motor vehicle homicide, failure to stop and render aid, tampering with evidence, and minor in possession of alcohol.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. They believe speed and impairment played a role in the wreck.
