Crash Alert: Deputy collides with another vehicle in Washington County
WASHINGTON COUNTY, NE – According to KMTV, one person was hurt when a deputy driving a patrol car collided with another driver on Rd 40 near Rd 45 on Friday.
Washington County Sheriff Deputy Morgan Ransiear was driving a 2022 Ford Interceptor east on Rd 40 on his way to a personal injury call when he lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with a 2022 Hyundai Tucson operated by James Winter around 7:35 a.m.
Rescue crews transported Winters to an area hospital. His current condition is unknown.
Deputy Ransiear was not hurt in the crash.
The incident is under investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol.
