Crash Alert: Deputies investigate 2-vehicle crash on US 75 in Plattsmouth
PLATTSMOUTH, NE -The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a three-vehicle crash that happened on US 75 near Osage Ranch Rd on Sunday, according to KETV.
Stephen Lako, 24, was driving a Toyota Yaris north on US 75 when he strayed into the southbound lanes around 5:22 p.m. A person operating a Ford F-150 swerved and avoided colliding with Lako. Lako then collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla driven by Bryan Dewilde 19 behind the F-150.
Emergency responders extricated Lako and Dewilde from their vehicles. Rescue crews flew Lako to an area hospital and transported Dewilde to a local hospital via ambulance.
Authorities believe impairment may have played a role in the incident. Charges are pending.
