Crash Alert: Man turns himself in for fatal crash on Dodge St last month
OMAHA, NE – A man turned himself in on Thursday to face a manslaughter charge for a deadly crash that happened on Dodge St near the UNO campus on Sept. 1, according to WOWT.
Dr. Mark Carlson, 60, is accused of driving at 101 mph when he slammed into an oncoming car around 10:30 p.m.
Anna Bosma, 22, died in the crash and her boyfriend was injured.
Dr. Carlson’s defense said Dr. Carlson had a medical emergency during the crash.
Authorities claim Dr. Carlson was involved in a race or road rage incident with a black SUV before the collision.
Dr. Carlson spent seven weeks in the hospital following the wreck.
Douglas County court Judge Marcuzzo granted Dr. Carson a $250,000 bond and waived his preliminary hearing.
