Crash Alert: 1 dead and 4 injured following wreck near Alda

ALDA, NE – One person is dead and four others were hurt in a single-vehicle crash at S Schauppsville Rd and W Wildwood Dr on Thursday, according to KSNB.

Quentin Scroggin, 19, was driving an SUV north on Schauppsville Rd when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled over. Brennan Villatoro, 18, and another passenger were ejected from the SUV during the crash.

Rescue crews pronounced Villatoro dead at the scene and transported Scroggin and the other three passengers to an area hospital.

Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. Criminal charges are pending the results of the investigation.
