Crash Alert: Officials ID victims of fatal crash on I-80 near North Platte
NORH PLATE, IA – According to KOLN, officials have released the names of the two people who died on I-80 near mile marker 184 on Friday.
Lezter Juarez, 27, was driving a GMC Yukon west on I-80 when he strayed into oncoming traffic and collided with a Honda SUV and a semi-truck around 2:10 p.m. Juarez and his passenger, Janice Arriaga-Martinez, 25, were ejected from the Yukon during the crash.
Rescue crews pronounced Juarez and Arriaga-Martinez dead at the scene. They transported the four people inside the Honda to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the crash.
The Nebraska State Police is investigating the incident.
