Crash Alert: Semit-truck driver sentenced for killing motorcyclist near Boys Town
OMAHA, OK – According to WOWT, the driver who fatally collided with a motorcyclist near N 132nd St and W Dodge Road on April 10 received his sentence on Thursday.
Ty Rannals, 22, was riding a motorcycle south on 132nd St when he was hit by a semi-truck driven by Corey Johnston, 32, around 6:50 a.m.
Rescue crews transported Rannals to an area hospital, where he died.
Authorities charged Johnston with motor vehicle homicide.
Johnston pleaded no contest to the charge and will serve 90 days in jail. He will then have two years of probation.
