Crash Alert: Train fatally collides with driver on Shoreline Dr near North Bend
NORTH BEND, NE – According to WOWT, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal train vs. auto crash on Shoreline Dr on Friday morning.
Ronald Hansen, Sr., 67, was driving a maroon 2017 Dodge Ram south on Shoreline Dr when he was struck by a Union Pacific train heading west.
Rescue crews pronounced Hansen dead at the scene. Nobody else was in the vehicle.
Authorities do not believe speed or alcohol played a role in the incident.
