Crash Alert: Officials ID victim of fatal crash involving ambulance in Douglas County
OMAHA, NE – According to WOWT, officials have released the name of the woman who died in a multi-vehicle crash involving an ambulance at 204th St and Harrison St on Thursday.
The ambulance was en route to the hospital with its lights and sirens on when it became involved in a crash with a 17-year-old male driving a Toyota Tundra and a silver van.
Rescue crews pronounced Debra Brookhouser, 72, dead at the scene. She was the patient inside the ambulance.
Crews also transported the 17-year-old and two people from the Gretna Volunteer Fire Department, a 42-year-old and a 58-year-old, to a local hospital. The teen remains in extremely critical condition.
