Crash Alert: Second person dies following crash in southwest Omaha
OMAHA, NE – A second person has died in a crash involving an ambulance that happened at S 204th St and Harrison St on Dec. 14, according to WOWT.
A person driving a Gretna Rescue ambulance was en route to the hospital when they collided with a Toyota Tundra and a silver van around 10:15 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Debra Brookhouser, 72, dead at the scene. She was the patient in the ambulance. Crews transported the 17-year-old male driving the Toyota Tundra to an area hospital in critical condition. He has since died.
Three firefighters were also hurt in the wreck.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
