Crash Alert: Deputies investigate fatal 2-vehicle crash on US 75 in Bedford
BEDFORD, NE – The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly wreck that happened on US 75 near 723 Rd on Tuesday, according to KOLN.
A semi-truck driver was heading north on US 75 when he struck a southbound Chevy Malibu driven by a 15-year-old that had crossed into the northbound lanes to avoid hitting a vehicle turning onto 723 Rd.
Rescue crews pronounced one passenger from the Malibu, Amber Booth, 41, dead at the scene and transported the driver and front-seat passenger to an area hospital. Nobody in the Malibu was wearing a seatbelt.
The semi-truck driver was wearing a seatbelt. It is unclear if he was hurt in the collision.
