Crash Alert: Woman arraigned for fatal crash in near Mead
MEAD, NE – According to WOWT, the woman charged for a fatal crash that happened at County Rd 10 and County Rd L on Nov. 22, 2023, was arraigned on Monday.
Madisyn Haack, 23, was driving a 2010 Ford F250 north on County Rd 10 when she strayed off the road and overcorrected before rolling over into the ditch upside down around 6:06 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Haack’s passenger, Bryce Budz, 23, dead at the scene and transported Haack to an area hospital in critical condition.
Authorities charged Haack with felony DUI motor-vehicle homicide and felony manslaughter in the death of Bryce Budz, 23, of Ashland, DUI above .15, and willful reckless driving.
Haack pleaded not guilty to her charges and waived her right to physically appear in a trial.
