Crash Alert: Man sentenced to probation for DUI crash in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, NE – According to WOWT, a man was sentenced to 18 months probation for his role in a crash that injured another person near US-75 and NE 66 on Sept. 9, 2023.

Carlos Olivas, 25, was driving a red Infinity Q50 south on US 75 at high speeds when he slammed into the rear of a white Dodge Durango driven by Huston Korenoski, who was stopped at a traffic light. The collision caused the Dodge Durango to be wedged against a semi-truck in front of it.

Rescue crews transported Olivas and Korenoski to an area hospital.

Olivas pleaded no contest to charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and third-degree assault.
