Crash Alert: 1 child, 2 adults dead following crash on NE 2 near Thedford
THOMAS COUNTY, NE – A 13-year-old girl and two adults are dead following a two-vehicle crash that occurred on NE 2 near Thedford on Saturday.
The driver of a Jeep Cherokee was heading east on NE 2 when they strayed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a westbound semi-truck around 12:40 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Justin Sprague, 43, and Amy McKillip, 43, dead at the scene. They transported two children to an area hospital, where the 13-year-old died.
The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident with help from the Nebraska State Patrol.
