Crash Alert: 2 dead following crash near Porter Ridge
LINCOLN, NE – According to KOLN, two people are dead following a single-vehicle collision at S 28th St and Pine Lake Rd on Sunday.
A 34-year-old man was driving a Honda Pilot at high speeds west on Pine Lake Rd when he strayed off the road and rolled over before slamming into a tree around 5:45 am.
One of the Pilot’s two passengers was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Rescue crews pronounced him and the other passenger, a 23-year-old man, dead at the scene and transported the driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe impairment may have played a role in the collision and are pressing charges against the driver.
The Lincoln Police Department is investigating the collision.
