Crash Alert: Driver fatally collides with dump truck in rural Douglas County
DOUGLAS COUNTY, NE – According to WOWT, a driver fatally struck a dump truck at N 240th St and NE 36 on Thursday.
The dump truck driver was heading east on NE 36 when they turned north onto N 240th St and collided with a Chevy sedan attempting to pass the truck in the westbound lane around 3 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the sedan drier dead at the scene. The dump truck was not hurt in the collision.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
