Crash Alert: Semi-truck driver fatally collides with SUV on NE 2 in Otoe County
OTOE COUNTY, NE – According to KOLN, a semi-truck driver fatally collided with an SUV at NE 2 and County Rd 36 on Saturday.
A semi-truck driver was heading west on NE 2 when they plowed into the rear of an SUV stopped at a road obstruction around 12:30 p.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the two occupants of the SUV, a 61-year-old woman and a 54-year-old woman, dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the collision.
The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office is working with the Nebraska State Patrol’s crash reconstruction team to investigate the incident.
