Crash Alert: Suspected drunk driver arrested for fatal crash near Rambleridge
OMAHA, NE – According to KETV, an allegedly impaired driver was arrested for a deadly crash at Fort St and I-680 on April 10.
Jordan Phipps, 23, was allegedly involved in a collision near 120th St and Fort St. He was fleeing from the scene of that crash at over 100 mph when he slammed into a car driven by Samuel Rohl as Rohl was exiting I-680 on Fort St.
Rescue crews pronounced Rohl dead at the scene and transported Phipps to an area hospital. Phipps’s BAC was at .269 when he was admitted to the emergency room for his injuries.
Following the collision, officers found an open beer can on the front passenger side of Phipp’s vehicle.
Phipps was in court on Monday. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
