Crash Alert: Wrong-way driver fatally collides with another vehicle in Platte Valley
PlATTE VALLEY, NE – According to WOWT, two people are dead following a wrong-way collision near US 275 and Pawnee Rd on Sunday.
Roberto Carlos Contreras Gonzalez, 27, was driving a Nissan Kicks north in the southbound lanes when he slammed into a southbound Volvo XC90 around 2:30 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Gonzalez and his female passenger, Cinthya Y Servin-Castillo, 42, dead at the scene. They transported the Volvo driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Impairment is being investigated as a possible factor in the wreck.
