News: Wrong-way driver dies after wreck with semi-truck on I-80 near Greenwood
GREENWOOD, NE – According to WOWT, a wrong-way driver died after colliding with a semi-truck on I-80 between mile marker 419 and 420 on Sunday.
An adult male driving a Ford Econoline van was heading west in the eastbound lanes when he collided head-on with a semi-truck around 3:30 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the van driver dead at the scene and transported the semi-truck driver to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Officials have not yet released the victim’s name.
The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the incident.
