Crash Alert: Police look for hit-and-run driver that struck pedestrian near Midtown
OMAHA, NE – According to WOWT, the Omaha Police Department is looking for the driver who struck and injured a pedestrian near Cuming St and N 40th St on Monday.
The driver of a dark green 2000 or 2001 Eddie Bauer Edition Ford Expedition was heading west when they struck a pedestrian who was crossing the intersection outside a marked crosswalk at 3:30 p.m.
First responders transported the victim to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Following the collision, the driver did not stop.
Authorities believe the vehicle would now have front-end damage. They urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact Omaha Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
