Crash Alert: Semi-truck driver fatally collides with pickup truck driver near Aurora
AURORA, NE – Two people are dead after a semi-truck driver slammed into a pickup truck near NE 14 and W 16 Rd on Monday, according to WOWT.
A 34-year-old man was driving a semi-truck south on NE 14 when he crossed the center line and collided with a northbound pickup truck operated by Nathan Omel, 42, around 3 p.m.
First responders pronounced Omel and his passenger, Cyntia Omel, 66, dead at the scene. They transported another person from the pickup truck to an area hospital.
The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the collision.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
