Crash Alert: Driver fatally collides with semi-truck in north Omaha

OMAHA, NE – According to WOWT, a driver died after he crashed into the trailer of a semi-truck at John J. Pershing Dr and N 16th St on Friday.

Eloi Canals Morales was driving a Toyota SUV west on John J. Persing Dr when they ran a stop sign and slammed into the trailer of a southbound semi-truck around 8 a.m.

First responders transported Morales to an area hospital, where they died. The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the collision.

Authorities cited the semi-truck driver for DUI and an invalid commercial driver’s license.
