Crash Alert: Officials ID victim of fatal downtown Lincoln crash

LINCOLN, NE – Officials have released the name of the man who died in a single-vehicle crash on E O St between S 12 St and S 13th St on Saturday morning.

John Hagle, 57, was heading east on E O St when he strayed into the westbound lanes and hit a curb. He then slammed into a tree.

First responders pronounced Hagle dead at the scene.

Following the collision, crews shut down the area to process the scene.

Authorities have not determined if impairment played a role in the collision.

The Lincoln Police Department is investigating the incident.
