Crash Alert: Motorcyclist fatally collides with truck in Gretna

GRETNA, NE – According to WOWT, a motorcyclist died after hitting a truck at US 6 and Jansen Drive Sunday afternoon.

A 69-year-old man was driving a truck north on US 6 and was turning left onto Jansen Drive as Joshua Bauer, 21, was heading south. Bauer slammed into the truck around 5:30 p.m.

First responders transported the truck driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They pronounced Bauer dead at the scene.

The Sarpy County Crash Response Unit is investigating the incident. They believe speed may have been a factor in the collision.
