Crash Alert: Truck driver fatally collides with another vehicle near Linoma Beach

LINOMA BEACH, NE – According to WOWT, a truck driver fatally collided with another vehicle on Interstate 80 westbound near Linoma Beach Sunday morning.

Omar Contreras, 29, was driving a Chevrolet Impala west on Interstate 80 when he lost his right front tire around 6:45 a.m. A semi-truck driver then hit the rear of the Impala.

First responders pronounced Contreras dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the collision.

The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
