Crash alert: Driver facing charges after rear-ending vehicle in Norfolk
NORFOLK, NE – Police in Norfolk arrested one of the drivers involved in a multi-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday night.
According to News Channel Nebraska, the incident happened in the area of Omaha Avenue and 13th Street shortly after 9:15 p.m.
Police said 39-year-old Chris Wood of Norfolk was driving a van when he crashed into the back of another vehicle. The collision also caused damage to a third vehicle.
One person in the vehicle hit by the van was hospitalized, though no details were released on their condition.
Wood is facing several charges, including willful reckless driving and obstructing a police officer. Police are also investigating whether driving under the influence contributed to the accident.
