Crash Alert: 1 killed in crash on Hwy 2 in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – According to KETV News, an 80-year-old woman was killed in an accident that took place on Highway 2 in Lincoln on Monday.
Authorities say the crash took place around 4:30 p.m. when the woman attempted to turn onto 33rd Street from Highway 2 and was struck on her vehicle’s passenger side by a driver in a pickup truck.
The woman sustained serious injuries in the impact and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died. The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain any injuries in the collision.
No other details have been released at this time. An investigation is currently ongoing.
