Crash Alert: Accident involving DUI citation reported on Hwy 77
LINCOLN, NE – According to KLKN News, a crash took place on Highway 77 in Lincoln on Monday morning.
Authorities say the accident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Highway 77 near the exit for West Van Dorn. A 19-year-old driver was reportedly attempting to exit onto West Van Dorn when he failed to control his vehicle and struck a railing on the bridge.
Two passengers in the vehicle sustained minor injuries in the collision and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The driver was given a citation for suspicion of driving under the influence, being a minor in possession, reckless driving, and violating a learner’s permit.
