Crash Alert: Police investigate fatal collision on I-680 in Omaha

OMAHA, NE – According to WOWT, the Omaha Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that happened at I-680 and Blondo St on Friday.

Nicole Stoops, 40, was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-680 when she nearly collided with a Nebraska State Patrol trooper and hit a Chevy Cruze before slamming into a white Chrysler minivan around 9:45 p.m.

Rescue crews transported Stoops and the minivan driver to an area hospital, where Stoops died.
