Crash Alert: Randolph man dies following crash on Blair High Rd in NW Omaha
OMAHA, NE – A two-vehicle wreck Monday night in far northwest Omaha claimed the life of a Randolph man and left a teenager injured, reports 6 News WOWT.
The fatal wreck occurred at the intersection of Blair High Road (State Route 133) and State Street. Omaha police responded to the scene at about 8:50 p.m.
Preliminary details show an Equinox was traveling northbound on the highway at the same time a Honda CRV was heading eastbound on State Street. Officials said the two vehicles collided at the intersection after the driver of the Equinox failed to observe a traffic signal.
The man from Randolph, identified as one of the drivers, was rushed to an area hospital but was ultimately pronounced deceased.
The teen, an Omaha resident, suffered minor injuries and is expected to make a recovery.
Officials did not immediately say which person was driving the causing Equinox.
An investigation remains in progress.
