Crash Alert: Driver fatally collides with tractor near Seward
SEWARD, NE – A woman died following a collision with a tractor at Old Mill Rd and 238th Rd on Aug. 22, according to KOLN.
Jaimie Calmus, 34, was heading west on Old Mill Rd when she collided with an eastbound tractor that turned north at the intersection around 8 a.m.
The 65-year-old man operating the tractor rendered aid to Calmus and the three children in her vehicle. He was not hurt in the collision.
Rescue crews transported Calmus to an area hospital, where she died. The three children in the SUV were not injured.
All four people in the SUV wore seatbelts.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.
The Nebraska State Patrol and the Seward County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.
