Crash Alert: 1 dead, 1 injured following 2-vehicle crash in northwest Omaha

OMAHA, NE – A man died in a two-vehicle collision near N 189th St and West Maple Rd on Wednesday night, according to WOWT.

Drake Moore, 23, was driving a 2004 Jeep Compass north on N 189th St when he pulled out in front of an eastbound 2018 Volkswagen Atlas around 10 p.m.

The Volkswagen driver hit the Jeep on the driver’s side, causing the Jeep to roll over onto its top in the westbound lanes.

First responders pronounced Moore dead at the scene and transported his 22-year-old female passenger to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The Volkswagen driver was not hurt in the collision.
