Crash Alert: Driver strikes, injures child on scooter in south Lincoln

LINCOLN, NE – According to WOWT, a driver hit and injured a 12-year-old boy riding a scooter at S 22nd St and Lake St on Friday.

An SUV driver hit the child as he was riding his scooter to Irving Middle School around 8:50 a.m.

First responders transported the boy to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities did not cite the driver.
