Crash Alert: Man changes plea for fatal hit-and-run near Long School
OMAHA, NE – According to WOWT, a man charged in a deadly hit-and-run that occurred on June 29 at N 24th St and Decatur St changed his plea on Wednesday.
Devon Barnes allegedly hit Danayjha Britt as she was walking across the street around 3 a.m. Britt died in the collision.
Following the collision, Barnes reportedly fled the scene.
Authorities charged Barnes with leaving the scene of a serious injury crash. He pleaded “no contest.”
Barnes could face four years in prison. He will be sentenced on March 19.
