Crash Alert: Woman pleads “no contest” for deadly crash near Mead
MEAD, NE – A woman changed her plea in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist near US 77 and NE 92 on April 14, 2014, according to WOWT.
Tami Bowen, 57, allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way to Ben Roberts, 50, who was riding a motorcycle. Roberts died in the collision.
Bowen was initially charged with careless driving and failure to yield, but those charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement. She pleaded “no contest” to motor vehicle homicide.
Bowen will be sentenced on Feb. 20.
