Crash Alert: Driver dies after colliding with utility pole in Hooker Township
HOOKER TOWNSHIP, NE – According to KOLN, a driver died after they hit a pole near S 148th Rd and E Cherry Rd on Sunday.
Preston Baehr, 22, was driving a Ford Expedition south around 5:30 a.m. when he went off the road and slammed into a utility pole. Baehr was thrown from the vehicle in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
First responders pronounced Baehr dead at the scene.
Authorities believe speed and impairment were factors in the crash.
The Gate County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
