Crash Alert: Driver dies after crashing into traffic signal in west Omaha

OMAHA, NE – A driver died after she slammed into the base of a traffic signal near S 133rd Plaza and W Center Rd on Saturday, according to WOWT.

Linda Moon, 64, was driving a Volkswagen east on W Center Rd when she sideswiped a Chevrolet Silverado around 9:45 a.m.

The Volkswagen strayed off the road and plowed into the base of a traffic signal, where it caught on fire.

Bystanders pulled Moon from the burning wreckage.

First responders transported Moon to an area hospital, where she died.

The people inside the Silverado were not hurt in the collision.
