Crash Alert: Man arrested for wreck near Meadow Lane

LINCOLN, NE – According to KOLN, authorities arrested a man on Wednesday who allegedly caused a crash at South 70th Street and East O Street on November 23, 2024.

Jayden Blake, 20, was driving a Dodge Charger erratically at high speeds near 84th Street and O Street when an officer tried to pull him over. Blake refused to stop and continued heading west on O Street.

A few minutes later, Blake had slammed into a Nissan Murano. The Charger then caught fire.

First responders transported Blake and two people from the Murano to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities charged Blake with one count of suspicion of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and two counts of second-degree assault.
