Crash Alert: Driver strikes, kills woman on US 81 near Madison

MADISON, NE – According to KOLN, a driver fatally collided with a woman on US 81 southbound north of Madison Saturday morning.

The driver was heading south when they hit an adult woman around 6 a.m. Authorities believe the woman was in the road when she was struck.

First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Officials are working to identify the woman.

The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the incident.
