Crash alert: Passenger hurt when cars collide in Kearney
KEARNEY, NE – Two vehicles collided in Kearney Sunday morning, injuring an elderly passenger.
According to Nebraska TV, the incident occurred at the intersection of 8th Street and 2nd Avenue, at about 11:40 a.m.
A Chevrolet Trailblazer struck the passenger side of a Lincoln Town Car as the Lincoln was trying to make a left turn onto 8th Street, Kearney police said.
A 79-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Town Car was injured and hospitalized. The driver of the vehicle, an 83-year-old man, was cited by police for failing to yield and negligent driving.
